Writing for Talent’s suite of brands (TopResume, TopInterview, and TopCV) meant picking up the proverbial pompoms and adopting a supportive, motivational voice. Meeting people where they are, whether they’re new to their job search or reaching a point of frustration, is important to building and maintaining trust with this audience.
Onboarding flows can be tricky because you need to keep the user moving through them as quickly as possible while still gathering pertinent information to individualize their overall experience. Asking too much of the user increases the likelihood they’ll bounce before completing their onboarding, so it’s critical to be upfront about why you’re asking certain questions and what they stand to gain by answering them.
